The Micro-Credit Enterprises currently consists of three main business:
- Peanut Butter processing
This is an income generating program to empower the Chwele Women’s Group of about 20 women who will be training other village women to start and sustain small income generating businesses. Each woman who successfully graduates from the program receives one of the following to help them maintain income generating culture in their own family (sewing machine, cow, goat, chickens, bicycle). The 20 women will be processing peanut butter to sell to retail, local boarding school communities, and village members to promote healthy eating habits. The children feeding program will eventually benefit from this program. The women also make and sell their local artistic hand crafts to local and international markets.
